Blue flowers occur in sprays above foliage from spring to summer, with 3 petals & 3 sepals in a star shape, & prominent yellow anthers.
Produced fruit is blue to purple, spherical to elongated, .2-.6" in size.
Grass like strap foliage is compressed into flat fans, and occurs in non invasive mounding tufts.
Performance best with good moisture & full sun. Rhizomatous root system.
