Primula malacoides 'Prima Mixed'
- Fairy primrose. Popular cool season potted plants with heavy umbels or large flowers in a wide range of jewel-toned colors, including many exquisite pastels. To about 12". Will bloom over several weeks when kept cool and bright. Primin, a dermatologic irritant which can casue a severe allergic reaction, is present in most cultivars but new series have recently been introduced which are primin-free. Can also be used as an early Spring component or bedding plant in very cool, sheltered climates.
